SnakTool Privacy Policy

SnakTool is designed so the content you give its tools stays on your device. That does not mean using a website creates no network data at all. This policy separates tool input from ordinary website requests, browser storage and information you deliberately send to support.

What happens to files, text and calculated results

Current tools process selected files and entered text in the browser. The application does not upload those inputs to a conversion server, save them in a SnakTool account or send them to an external processing API. Downloads are created locally for you to save.

Inputs and outputs can remain in the open page’s memory while you use it. Resetting or closing a page ends that working session, but downloaded files, clipboard contents and browser or operating-system copies are under your control. This is not a secure-erasure guarantee.

Website requests are separate from tool content

Your browser requests pages, scripts and other site assets to run SnakTool. Serving a website necessarily involves network information such as the requested URL and connection address. Local processing should not be read as a claim that browsing creates no hosting or network records.

The application’s production network policy restricts tool communication. Links to reference sites and mailto links are user-initiated departures and are governed by the destination’s handling. Do not put private tool input into a page URL or a support message.

For a question about website-request or support-message handling that this policy does not resolve, use the privacy contact below. Local processing of tool inputs does not define the retention practices of a hosting or email service.

Browser storage, cookies, analytics and advertising

The interface stores the chosen light or dark theme in browser local storage under snaktool-theme. You can clear that preference using your browser’s site-data controls. The current application does not implement account cookies, analytics tracking or live advertising scripts.

If advertising or analytics is introduced, the policy and any required controls need to reflect the actual integration before it is enabled. A future monetization plan is not a statement that those scripts run in this version.

Support email is information you choose to send

If you choose to email snaktoolsupport@mailonce.org, the message and sender information leave your browser through your email service and reach the support mailbox. Include only what is needed to answer the request. Do not send passwords, bearer tokens, private documents or sensitive personal details.

Support email is used to respond to the issue you raise. For a privacy question or a request about a message you sent, contact the same address and identify the relevant correspondence without adding unnecessary sensitive information. No fixed response time or automatic deletion schedule is promised here.

Downloads, clipboard data and copies you create

Generated downloads are handed to your browser for you to save. After that, the file is subject to your browser, operating system, backups, sync settings and any service you later upload it to. SnakTool cannot erase copies outside the active page.

The same distinction applies to clipboard results. Clipboard history, cloud clipboard features and other software on your device are controlled by your environment rather than by SnakTool.

Sharing and external recipients

SnakTool does not send current tool inputs to third-party conversion APIs. Information can nevertheless reach infrastructure providers when necessary to deliver the website or email, and it reaches an external website when you deliberately follow one of its links.

Third-party destinations operate under their own privacy practices. A link to documentation or another site does not extend SnakTool's local-processing design to that destination.

Retention depends on the type of information

SnakTool does not maintain a server-side account or file library for current tool inputs, so there is no SnakTool file-retention period for those local inputs. Temporary working data can remain in the active page while you use a tool.

The theme preference remains in local storage until you change or clear it. Support email and infrastructure records are different categories whose retention can depend on operational needs and the services that handle them. This policy does not invent a fixed deletion period the current implementation does not enforce.

Your privacy choices and requests

You can avoid sending support email, clear the local theme preference through your browser and remove downloaded results from locations you control. Because local tool inputs are not stored in a SnakTool account, SnakTool cannot retrieve a server-side history of files that never left your browser.

If you believe SnakTool holds personal information about you through support correspondence or another non-local interaction, email snaktoolsupport@mailonce.org. Depending on applicable law and the circumstances, privacy rights may include access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or withdrawal of consent where consent is used.

Children, automated decisions and security limits

SnakTool is a general-purpose toolbox and is not designed to build profiles of children. The current application does not use personal data to make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about users.

Keeping tool content on the device reduces the need to transmit that content to a processing service, but it is not an absolute security guarantee. Your browser, extensions, device, network, downloaded files and later destinations remain part of your security environment.

Policy changes

This policy should track the deployed product. If SnakTool materially changes how it collects or uses personal information, this page should be updated to describe that behavior and any controls required for it.

For a privacy question, use the support address and describe the relevant interaction without attaching private tool files or adding sensitive information that is not needed.
