Generators for codes, random values and working examples
Generated output serves different purposes: a QR code transports a payload, a password needs suitable randomness, and placeholder text helps test a layout. Select the generator by that purpose rather than by how unusual its output looks.
Choose by the task
- Use Password for destination credential rules, Random String for an alphabet and length, or Random Number for a bounded range.
- Use UUID in Developer Tools when a UUID identifier is required. QR produces a static payload; Lorem and colors are design samples.
Codes and randomness
QR Code Generator
Generate QR codes for text and URLs directly in your browser and download them as PNG images.
Password Generator
Generate passwords locally using browser cryptographic randomness.
Random String Generator
Generate random strings with custom lengths and character sets.
Random Number Generator
Generate secure random integers within a custom range.
Design and layout samples
Randomness is not the same as permanent uniqueness
Passwords, random strings and numbers use browser cryptographic randomness. Repeated values can still occur when the output space allows them; a unique-number batch only promises uniqueness within that batch. An identifier or random string is not automatically a complete security system.
For passwords, choose settings accepted by the destination and store the result securely. Excluding ambiguous characters can help transcription but also changes the available alphabet. Do not publish a generated credential as a demonstration.
Test outputs where they will be used
QR codes are static PNGs. Scan the finished print or placed image, not only the download. Placeholder text helps test content length but cannot validate whether real headings and instructions will be clear.
Color output expresses an opaque sRGB color in several notations. It does not certify contrast, a full palette or print appearance. Check readability against the actual background before putting a generated color on a button or label.
Questions about this topic
Will a static QR code stop working after a set time?
The image contains its payload and has no SnakTool expiry timer. A linked destination can still change or become unavailable, so the usefulness of the link is separate from the code itself.
